GPSC Funding Request

Applications submitted after 5 weeks (35 days) before the first date of TRAVEL will be automatically denied.

Updates to GPSC travel funds have been reduced starting Fall 2023 as follows:

Domestic travel up to $500
International travel up to $600
Professional Development to $200

ONLY ONE allocation per fiscal year
ONLY Early Bird registrations will be covered for funding
Lodging will be funded up to $300 of the total funding listed above

  • Important Note

    You MUST watch the ten-minute video that will walk you through the actual application with samples and tips to submit the correct documentation.

    Be aware that by submitting the incorrect documents and/or an incomplete application will result in an immediate rejection, and; you will not be able to apply again within the semester.

  • Confirmation Receipt

    When you submit a successful application, you will receive confirmation receipt by e-mail. The sender is no-reply@webforms.fiu.edu and the name is "The Graduate & Professional Student Committee". Through the confirmation receipt, you can verify your information and documentation was submitted correctly as stated in the funding workshop presentation.

    If you don't receive confirmation receipt in your inbox, check your junk/spam or clutter folder. You should add no-reply@webforms.fiu.edu to your Safe Senders list in your e-mail carrier's settings or preferences. If you still cannot find confirmation receipt, this means you have NOT submitted successfully and will have to submit again.

    Due to a high volume of e-mails and applications, the GPSC Office is unable to verify documentation or confirmation receipt.

  • Faculty Advisor Letter of Support

    Please be aware that your faculty advisor will receive an auto-generated e-mail to submit a letter of support every time you submit a request. If your request is sent back to you for revisions, your advisor will receive a request to submit a letter of support again once you resubmit.

    When you submit a successful application, your advisor will receive an auto-generated request to submit the letter of support by e-mail. The sender is no-reply@webforms.fiu.edu and the name is "The Graduate & Professional Student Committee". When your advisor submits successfully, you will also receive confirmation receipt by e-mail.

    If s/he doesn't receive the e-mail in his/her inbox, s/he should check the junk/spam or clutter folder. Ask him/her to add no-reply@webforms.fiu.edu to the Safe Senders list in his/her e-mail carrier's settings or preferences. If s/he still cannot find the letter of support request e-mail, this means you have NOT submitted successfully and will have to submit again.
